Years ago, I took 2 years of oils from a teacher well known in the Houston area, Virgina Greenwood. About 10 years ago I joined Decorative Painters Society local club, the Yucca Pod in Las Cruces NM, and the Lubbock "West Texas Cotton Pickin' Painters." There we do garment folk art, folk art, tole, oils, pencils, and acrlics.
Twice a year we have great guest teachers. We have studied eggery, portraits, pencils, oils.
I have just gotten interested in pencils. I love making greeting ards, painting gourds like Santas. All arts interest me. I want to be like a sponge and soak it up.
